Albuquerque Isotopes head groundskeeper Jarad Alley has received the Pacific Coast League's "President's Honorable Mention" award for his extraordinary work in keeping the field at Isotopes Park in pristine shape throughout the summer. Alley received the same accolade last year in conjunction with the PCL's annual Groundskeeper of the Year recognition.

Voted on by each PCL Manager, the Sports Turf Manager of the Year is based on 11 different criteria, including overall playing surface, infield/outfield turf, pitcher's mound condition, and overall professionalism of the grounds crew.

This season's winner was Round Rock's Dennis Klein, while Oklahoma's Monte McCoy earned the second honorable mention.

Under Alley's leadership, the field at Isotopes Park, which last year won collegiate baseball field of the year by the Sports Turf Manager's Association, was kept in exemplary condition even after hosting over 100 different events from February through August.
