September 6, 200521 yr The Stones' new album, A Bigger Bang out tomorrow with awesome songs like "Rough Justice" and "Streets of Love" and anyone who likes that kinda music should get it. I'll be getting at Target for $11.88 tomorrow after school.
September 6, 200521 yr Author RETIRE !!! I think we've heard enough ... for the love of music QUIT 931760 The Stones retire? They're still better than 90% of the bands out there and are still amazing on stage. They've sold out just about every show on their tour. Why retire? Now, on the other hand, there's this band called Pink Floyd that seems to have retired and is better than 100% of the bands out there. unacceptable. Pink Floyd needs to make another album or at least go on tour.
September 6, 200521 yr The Stones retire?? They're still better than 90% of the bands out there 931768 eh ... not saying all time but I highly doubt they are making music that would stand time right now. and they are surely not better than 90% of bands out there sure better than most(to some degree) but I just think the world has heard enough better to go out in glory than in mediocrity ... and I think they have wondered into the wonderful world we know as mediocrity for quite some time now ... or simply a cash machine, im not sure
September 6, 200521 yr they won't retire until they die... and ever then we will see look-a-likes. Just look at the wonders its done for the Beatles...
September 6, 200521 yr I'm a bigger fan of "You can't always get what you want," "Satisfaction," "Gimme Shelter" era than the new stuff. I hate the new stuff. It just isn't... As good. Someone's already said this, I know. But, it's true, you can't go back again. If they want to tour and make new stuff, though, it's all gravy. I'd go see them play that and their old stuff (except their tickets are waaay to expensive). It's weird how sound changes in music and if bands try to go back to their older sound it generally explodes in their faces. Kudos to the Stones for doing somewhat different material, but it's not my cup o' tea.
September 6, 200521 yr Somebody should tell Keith Richards to lay down already. He died 15 years ago, just nobody bothered to inform him.
September 7, 200521 yr Author Rolling Stone gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Sweet Neo-Con is actually a surprisingly good song.
