September 10, 200520 yr yesterday on the hot list they interviewed kevin baxter of the miami herald about the marlins and phils game last night and tried to get his overall synopsis of the marlins this year compared to 2003... i found his comments to hit right on the mark when asked about 2003, he said they were a bunch of guys that were over-achievers. that performed way better than any expectation set...now that they have the high expectations, they are trying to back themselves into the playoffs.... maybe if theres one thing about the unbalanced schedule, you make or break your post season chances yourself. if they fail to make the playoffs, they have no one to blame but themselves, as they will have blown an excellent chance to get back to the postseason. that being said one would hope that they get enfuego the next couple weeks and close it out as i get goosebumps of juan pierre catching that fly ball in center field in 2003 when lennyboy says 'and the florida marlins have clinched, the national league wildcard.' holler.gofish.
