The city has tried to do this but the Marlins have said no. The overall price would go up the longer you wait. Good luck trying to find a cheap piece of land in Miami. Small houses are going for $350k. Try reading a few threads.

No I was meaning the approach of building a 15-23 K size stadium to start and then adding to it as time went by. I had never seen that approach before.

When we get new revenue, kick the seating capacity up. And when even more money comes in you could add the retractible roof. The only thing would be to make allowances for these future changes that would be made in the original design.

Not keep it at mediocre levels. If they did it like this the cost would be well over 800 million I guarantee it. The price has gone up 30-40M in a year with the current plan.
