August 16, 200322 yr Next Saturday, Aug. 23rd the Marlins and San Francisco will be playing their game on Fox at 4:00 p.m. They will have the Phillies game at 1:00 p.m. and then ours will follow. I was really surprised as I don't remember a time when Fox ever broadcast one of our games. I think that Beckett will pitch and I sure hope that the Marlins play good ball and that Beckett pitches the way he is capable of.
August 16, 200322 yr OK folks here is a quick lesson in FOX affiliate relations... KTVU (2-San Fran) and WSVN (7-Miami) MUST air the game. Other FOX affiliates can choose the game they want to air as long as they don't have a hometown game. If you tell me your local FOX affiliate, I can check it and see if they will air it. No list is out yet, but the listings are.

August 16, 200322 yr Actually, The Marlins at Braves was aired late last season on FOX. Len Kasper had the call with a color commentator from FSN South's Braves coverage. We do not know who the broadcasters for the game will be, but Len Kasper from the Marlins and Dave Flemming/Mike Krukow from the Giants is likely since the FOX announcers are short with Joe Buck calling NFL preseason and everyone moving up one slot and there being 4-5 games on the slate.
