September 27, 200521 yr Author We should have stuck with Rosenthal to begin with, he did a good job for us. I haven't seen anything out of Wiley that was better than Rosenthal. I don't think AJ and Beckett were in good terms with Rosenthal. What about Dontrelle? no props to Wiley on that? I'll give Wiley credit for Dontrelle. A few ST adjustments worked wonders. But how much did Wiley help Villone for example, who's ERA ballooned after he joined the Fish? The same can be said for Mota and Alfonseca who enjoyed much better success under different pitching coaches. Perhaps the AA guys weren't ready to be brought up to the MLB. It's not clear what impact Wiley had on them, if any.
