Al Qaeda Says It Has Kidnapped Two Marines

Featured Replies

Al Qaeda has kidnapped two Marines in western Iraq and issued a 24-hour ultimatum to U.S. forces to release female Sunni Muslim prisoners, a statement posted on a Web site said on Sunday.

"Al Qaeda soldiers succeeded in kidnapping two Marines ... and Al Qaeda is giving the infidels 24 hours to release female Sunni Muslim prisoners ... or they (Western forces) should not bother to look for their children," the statement said on a Web site generally used by the group.

A spokesman for U.S. forces in Iraq, Lieutenant Colonel Steve Boylan, said: "I have not heard anything about any of our folks being taken. I would suspect that these are unfounded rumors, as that is what has happened in the past."

f***ing scum.

If this is true, which I hope it's not, good luck to those two devil dogs, Chesty is watching out for them.

Heres a question..would you actually release the female sunni prisoners to save the soldiers lives if you knew for a fact youd get the Marines back safe?

And if you say no, isint that pretty anti-troop and anti-American?

Absolutely not, and this answer applies to both of your questions.

It is a well known fact that the United States does not negotiate with terrorists, regardless of how emotional the situation is and regardless of whether there are human lives at stake. If you say yes and release the prisoners in exchange for these hard charging Marines, then you put every single person who is and will be serving overseas in unnecessary danger well above what they're already in and this is a precedent that we simply cannot afford to set.

Also, every single report i've seen said that these are just false rumors and nothing more.
