October 6, 200520 yr ROMULUS, Mich. ? (AP) ? Miami was chosen Thursday as the site for the 2010 Super Bowl, making it the 10th time the city will host the game. Atlanta, Houston and Miami made a final pitch for the marquee event at an NFL owners meeting in this Detroit suburb, located about 25 miles from Ford Field, where the next Super Bowl will be played. Atlanta and Houston went into Thursday's vote as favorites because Miami already had been picked for the 2007 game. After 2010, Miami will top New Orleans' record of nine for hosting the most Super Bowl games. More to come as it becomes available
October 6, 200520 yr Author God damn werent we already hosting it next season? great news though. correct, miami hosts 2007 and then again in 2010....2010 was originally scheudled for New York but fell through when they couldn't seccure the new Stadium

The NFL if I heard correctly shot that idea down.
October 6, 200520 yr Arizona is getting the 2008 superbowl and the stadium is retractable roof with a grass surface ... the stadium also has an extra 10k-15k seats that can be added for special events ... like the first collegiate national championship game (under the "new" system) which will be played here in 2007 average temps for the time the SB is played is the high 60s also the whole city is nothing but resorts and hotels the only draw back is how spread out the city is and lack of cabs / public transportation however, they could have all the special events and parties in scottsdale near where cabs actually do run and there are a ton of hotels there
October 6, 200520 yr i used to live in arizona adn the temps in january were beautiful. also, pheonix already held super bowl XXX and it went pretty well i believe so they can handle it. unlike jacksonville which from what i hear was one of the worst super bowl sites ever.
October 6, 200520 yr I like it. By then Dolphins Stadium should be fully renovated with the "NFL Village" and it should be a really great place to watch the Fins along with the Orange Bowl and Superbowl.
