The new World Baseball League (WBL) is offering an opportunity to own a sports franchise in a truly international professional baseball league. Teams are sought in the following cities: Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, Mexico City, and Toronto. Teams in other cities will be considered. The initial WBL franchise fee of $15,000,000.00 per city does not include team operating expenses, travel expenses, taxes, stadium leases, trademarks, equipment, or player/employee salaries. The WBL will assist prospective team owners in all aspects of establishing a viable team franchise, including locating and signing players. Subsequent season current annual WBL dues are currently established at $15,000,000.00 in addition to the initial team franchise fee. Teams and league share in television broadcast rights and other revenues. Owners may not own more than one WBL team franchise nor may they or any family member have any business interests, ownership, or holdings in casinos or gaming enterprises.

Ownership in professional sports franchises may have advantageous tax benefits. Consult your tax or legal advisor for the specific tax effects and benefits of ownership.

The WBL is scheduled to begin full operations in 2007. Bidders must have a verifiable net worth of at least $20,000,000.00.

Founder (former attorney) and WBL President Roger Jewell has previously worked with sports attorney Gary L. Davidson (author of the introduction to Roger's book, Going Pro: The Athlete's Market Guide), who was the founder of the World Hockey Association (WHA) (which merged with the National Hockey League (NHL)), American Basketball Association (ABA) (which merged with the National Basketball Association (NBA)), and World Team Tennis (WTT).
