WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Micky Arison, managing general partner of the Miami Heat, has been elected chairman of the NBA Board of Governors, Commissioner David Stern announced Wednesday. Arison replaces Phoenix Suns Chairman Jerry Colangelo, who served as chairman for the last four years. "Jerry Colangelo has been an extraordinary leader for the NBA during his tenure as chairman and will remain a principal figure on our board," said Stern. "Micky Arison is an innovative thinker who has the full support and respect of our owners."
