November 28, 200520 yr A new stadium with the same lease won't help the Marlins Obviously the Marlins would not agree to the same lease - especially if they're contributing a ton of money to the project ($150 million or more). Wayne would now make his money from all the fans that would go from the stadium to his businesses. It makes financial sense for Wayne to give the Marlins a favorable lease.
