December 5, 200520 yr Non tendered is basically when a team releases a player that is under team control but that is not under a long-term contract. I thought non-tendering had to do with arbitration, if a team does not want to go go through arbitration w/ a player, the non- tender him, making him a FA Yep, except in cases which the player is not eligible for free agency ("under team control"). Then the team must release their rights to him.
