Does anyone know if any stores carry PAL format DVD players? I dont want to order one online. I want to buy a DVD but it only works in certain DVD players (PAL Format).

Get a Region-Free player.

 

Your best bet is to go online. Most local chains only carry Region 1's, because it's the "standard" (for U.S.).

Can that DVD play PAL format DVD's?

I remember hearing from someone that Radioshack used to have a multi-region player (or at least one that could be hacked quite easily). However, it's been a few years.

 

Holly, are you looking to import Region 2 DVDs? How much are you looking to spend on a player?

 

 

I am willing to spend maybe $100 or around there. The movie I want to buy is from Australia. I am not sure if it is going to come out in the US.
