What's wrong with baseball? Why do people say it's boring? I've played baseball all of my young life and of all the major sports I played, baseball is my favorite.

 

What's wrong with it? Why do some people fine soccer more exciting than baseball? :banghead

Its not that people hate playing baseball. Its not that people hate going to baseball games. Its that people hate watching baseball on TV. And since they don't get many opportunities to go to games or to play it for the most part, TV is their most used outlet for baseball. And since there isn't something happening every hundreth of a second, people lose interest. Remember, the attention span of society has been steadily dropping for a while now.

Because people have somthing called an opinion and their own tastes.

I love baseball! I play it everyday ( Im a pitcher). People dont like it because its boring on TV just throwing the ball, it gets boring for them but if the go to the stadium or play it they will love it.

i love baseball... but it doesnt compare to football....

 

But people want to be able to see 2 things when watching the games:

a) collisions (i.e. football)...there just aren't many in baseball

 

b) they want to be able to see the ball...in basketball and football you usually know where the ball is. In baseball, the average fan doesn't know how to tell a curve from a fastball...i mean, I would assume everyone on this board can...but Joe Blo at the Beef O'Brady's doesn't. (i.e. Hockey isnt popular....i dont like it either)
