October 4, 200323 yr Author Today we play Western Carolina, in Cullowhee, NC. Western only lost by 1 point to us last year. Should be an exciting game. They really think they can win. This win will go a long way in our Southern Conference championship bid. Game is at 6. I'm not dressing out (about 30-40 people will not be dressing out for this game...only bringin about 60), but I will be makin the 2 hr drive to watch the game.
October 10, 200323 yr Author Furman plays Appalachian State this week. It's a great rivalry we have (along with our rivalry with Georgia Southern). Anyway, App. State is not having the same type season they had last year, but they will be up for the game. Some of yall might have heard about the game last year in Boone, NC. We were up 15-14 with 7 seconds left, went for 2 to make it a 3 point game. The pass got intercepted and returned for 2 points for App. State. Final score: 16-15 App. State. This week, will be different. It's Family Weekend, so there should be a solid crowd (students and other fans + students' parents + solid away crowd from App. State = good crowd). BTW, I believe Furman is 29th in d-1aa in attendance. P.S. We are ranked #5 in the country in d-1aa.
