January 24, 200620 yr I agree they need an outfielder, but Ward, or Branyan types, are not the answer. They need someone that can platoon in CF. They can't possibly give 650 AB to Aguila and Reed. Alex Sanchez, Jeff DaVanon, Richard Hildalgo (if he can still play CF), Terrance Long, and maybe Quinton Mccracken if he still has legs, are the only FA options around that I can think of that make sense for the Marlins. I like Sanchez best because he needs to resurrect his career, and would provide a solid presence in the # 1 spot in the lineup with his decent OBP/speed.
