    AMD and Intel both came out with Dual Processors. I'm usually an Intel fan but cnet.com did a review on the processors in 8 different categories and amd was better in each one.

     

    my roomate just got a desktop from circuit city an HP dual processor AMD with 1 GB of ram at like 2.4 Ghz. he only paid $1000
