February 17, 200620 yr ESPN.com has a poll going on right now asking this very question. Through 90,000 votes 58% of the people said no. This surprised me so wanted to see what you guys thought. I personally say yes. I would make a poll but I have no idea how.

There has never been a leaked report saying that he did it like there was for Bonds and Giambi, but he did appear before Congress and pretended he didn't speak English which is just a tad suspicious. In five years, it should be known better what happened in that time so I guess a better conclusion can be drawn then. But with the taint that's going over Sosa, Bonds, McGwire, et al now thanks to steroids, they are no longer first ballot HoFers. At least not until factual evidence comes out either way, like it did with Palmeiro.

February 19, 200620 yr i think the hall of fame is goin to look at how important 500 homers is in this generation...i mean he played in a small ball park in wrigley, got to play in colorado, and was found to be using a corked bat...plus he went from skinny black kid like barry bonds to huge black guy like bonds...at about the same time...i dont know...kinda suspicious to me...if he makes it...no way on first ballot

February 19, 200620 yr YUP, Dave Kingman would be IN. No way dude. No way 500 homers automatically qualifies you. The other stats have got to be there.
