Anyone think he has a chance to stick around for opening day, since Pokey is no more. I believe he can play both 2B and SS. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks.

He has a great shot if they don't bring in anyone else. The 2nd bench MI spot is up for grabs right now. All he would have to do is beat out Andino and Campusano - who both are really young and would be better served for minor league playing time.

If our true prospects aren't ready to take the field, I really hope a guy like Lopez is ready to fill space. Rushing Andino or Ramirez, or even forcing Uggla to start before they are ready could be counterproductive in the long run (see: Corey Patterson).
