Imagine how many more wins the Braves would have, imagine how much money they would have saved, and imagine how much brighter their future would be if they had just kept Millwood and let Greg Maddux go.

They'd have a few more meaningless wins and would have saved $6 million. But why would their future be brighter? They picked up their 2004 starting catcher in exchange for Millwood and they can still sign Millwod as a Free Agent this off-season. It wasn't a great move but it worked out for them. They only way I'd call the Braves "suckers" on this one is if the Phillies win the Wild Card and Millwood beats the Braves in the playoffs. But we all know that's not going to happen. Feel sorry for the suckers who committed 3 years to Tom Glavine. At least the Braves are off the hook after this season.
