The K Range

Featured Replies

Who will have the most strikeouts on the team?

I really don't know who to pick. My first instinct is Willy, only because the players lower in the order likely won't get as many at-bats.

Well, the 3 most obvious choices are Cabs, Willy, and Jacobs.

Willingham has a 25% career minor league K rate.

Jacobs has a 23% career minor league K rate.

Cabrera has a 23% career major league K rate and has dropped it by each of his 3 seasons (27% in 03, 25 % in 04, 20% in 05)

If I were a betting man, and I am, I would bet on Willingham, mostly due to his propensity to strike out looking.

That is, of course, assuming Sham is correct about Reggie, who has a 31% career minor league K rate.

Hugg is probably right here, but Willy may not get enough ABs to win the K title. He may have the highest % though.

One can make an argument for Hermida as well.
