Lefty
Anyone watching this? I missed the first part (I know what happened anyway), but this second part is interesting.. I didn't know they fought a battle in the desert before reaching Mt Sinai. It's pretty good IMO thus far--we shall see how they handle the 'tablets' part. EndLine
It got piss poor reviews from every critic. However, Cecil B. DeMille's classic version will air this Saturday.

yenta
I didn't know they fought a battle in the desert before reaching Mt Sinai. Where do you think the whole, "Joshua fought the battle of Jerico, and the walls came tumblin' down." came from? I thought it was good. Not as sappy as the original and besides, I love Dougray Scott. Have ever since Ever After.

Have ever since Ever After. Exactly. I'd wager that one 1 out of 10 Jews knows the 'Joshua' quip. I might have heard it before, but the story I was always disposed to was that with Charlton Heston. Fishfan79
"i have the 15.......bang.......Now 10 commandments" Classic that did rock as for the newer movie, I liked the original better but it wasnt horrible. It is just hard to top a classic.
