April 12, 200620 yr Anyone watching this? I missed the first part (I know what happened anyway), but this second part is interesting.. I didn't know they fought a battle in the desert before reaching Mt Sinai. It's pretty good IMO thus far--we shall see how they handle the 'tablets' part.
April 12, 200620 yr It got piss poor reviews from every critic. However, Cecil B. DeMille's classic version will air this Saturday.
April 12, 200620 yr I didn't know they fought a battle in the desert before reaching Mt Sinai. Where do you think the whole, "Joshua fought the battle of Jerico, and the walls came tumblin' down." came from? I thought it was good. Not as sappy as the original and besides, I love Dougray Scott. Have ever since Ever After.

Have ever since Ever After. Exactly. I'd wager that one 1 out of 10 Jews knows the 'Joshua' quip. I might have heard it before, but the story I was always disposed to was that with Charlton Heston.
April 19, 200620 yr "i have the 15.......bang.......Now 10 commandments" Classic that did rock as for the newer movie, I liked the original better but it wasnt horrible. It is just hard to top a classic.
