I don't disagree that the public is what fuels the politicos when the day is done...but to think some reporter at the Herald or CBS4 or Channel 10 is going to be the difference between this getting done or not is not realistic. I think Dolphin Stadium is a testament to that. Public financing was used and is being paid off by the Dolphins...but Dade County bonds and land given to the county are what go DS done. Action is always louder than words.

April 18, 200620 yr Wow... 40% say they're moving, 19% say don't care. That's a majority, so a minority of responders think they are staying put.... Of course those kind of polls are highly inaccurate. But for fun, compare that to the WOAI poll in SA a couple months ago that said 70% of responders thought that the county should commit huge public funds to build a stadium and entice the Marlins to come to SA.

Well when you have a few Radio talk show hosts (Big O for one) calling them the San Antonio Marlins every morning, it gets stuck in people's heads that this team is on the way out just because.
