May 10, 200620 yr saw this one another forum and thought would toss up. sorta dumb to market that ring tone and all as it is highly offensive. Cingular Wireless pulled a ringtone from its Web site Tuesday after learning that it carried a message the company called "blatantly offensive." The Atlanta-based cell phone company became aware of the ringtone, which uses mixed English and Spanish and threatens deportation, after an inquiry from a reporter for The Brownsville Herald. The newspaper reported in its online edition Tuesday that the ringtone started with a siren, followed by a male voice saying in a Southern drawl, "This is la Migra," a slang term for the Border Patrol. "Por favor, put the oranges down and step away from the cell phone. I repeat-o, put the oranges down and step away from the telephone-o. I'm deporting you back home-o," the voice continued. Hispanic activists called the product racist. http://articles.news.aol.com/business/arti...990007&cid=2194
May 10, 200620 yr Author lol I guess it was racist. It's nothing that Carlos Mencia wouldn't do though. yes but in the PC world he is spanish so he is allowed to do it. It seems that is the common belief for most races in the US lately? But it is a raciest ring tone.
May 10, 200620 yr Oh geezus shut up. Can't take a meaningless ringtone that you have to pull it? I find rap and anything associated with it offensive. Does it mean that the cellphone companies have to pull their ringtones? No. Stupid freakin political correct drones strike again.
May 11, 200620 yr That's pretty lame, and anyone who had it down here who wasn't hispanic should probably fear for their life. But to each their own.
May 11, 200620 yr i want to know who is the brilliant mind at cingular that thought that ring tone up. f***ing prick
