May 30, 200620 yr Is the team beefing up it's international scouting again? I read about Pena's kid. And another 15 year old catcher that can be signed this summer, 6'2 200 pounds. Not asking if we are making any runs at these guys, but if there are any known international players that are being looked at? (if belongs in another forum I apologize)

May 30, 200620 yr It would be a great sign towards the future if we can ink a guy like Pena. Don't know much about the Montero kid. I'd be ecstatic though to see us take some tough sign guys in this draft and on the international market considering how low the payroll is. It would show us fans that ownership actually cares about the future.
May 30, 200620 yr Author Yep. We have had good luck on the international circuit before. I'd like to see that back. And as of right now, the fact that these kids might have a faster track to the majors might help.
