September 22, 200322 yr For the postseason staff I want the following: Rotation-- 1) Josh Beckett 2)Dontrelle Willis 3)Mark Redman 4)Brad Penny Bullpen-- Closer=Ugueth Urbina Set-Up=Chad Fox/Braden Looper depending on how Loop performs in the last week Long Relief=Carl Pavano These are the people that I relly want to see in those roles. Pavano has not been very effective for his last two starts, but I think he would do good in long relief. I think we will have a bad outing from one person, probably Red or Willis. The reason I say this is because Willis is tired because he has never pitched this much, and Redman has been known to have nothing left at the end of the season. Last year in Detroit he was benched for his last couple of starts. Maybe that was just the curse of Detroit. Thoughts? :arms
September 22, 200322 yr Actually, Dontrelle is up to 186 innings this year (remember, he also pitched 36 innings for Carolina), so I hope fatigue doesnt become a factor since Willis could start two crucial games this week-the opener against the Phillies and the last game of the season.
