June 15, 200620 yr Go to the Milb.com website and click on "Around the minors". Its a video about the Carolina Mudcats. Sorry if this was posted before.
June 15, 200620 yr Author Holly...you are gonna love this kid! I already do . I cant wait to see him in a Marlins uni sometime soon! Do you guys think he might replace Moe in the rotation next year? Many people say he is ready now.
June 15, 200620 yr If the Marlins are smart...DO NOT RUSH THIS KID! Keep him in AA (yeah, I know Willis came straight from AA) and let him develop. Move him to AAA if he shows he can handle AA, but don't rush him. Maybe next year, but even then, I'd let him start at AAA before bringing him up. In case you have yet to read this, here: http://www.soxprospects.com/players/sanchez-anibal.htm Scouting Report: Sanchez was raised around a lot of pro players while growing up in Venezuela. Throws a two-seam and a four-seam fastball that tops out in the mid-90s with excellent control. Also throws an excellent deceptive changeup and a consistently improving curve. Good confidence and poise on the mound. Previously experienced nerve problems in his throwing arm, which he has seemingly now fully recovered from. Learned English quickly. Front-of-the rotation potential.

June 15, 200620 yr I conceivably see him as another Johan Santana or maybe a Pedro. It all depends who his pitching coach is. Pedro had the benefit of working with Joe Kerrigan in both Montreal and Boston. Kranitz has a good rep...I believe he worked with Greg Maddux when Maddux was coming thru the Cub system. I can see him as an ace

He reminds many scouts of Bartolo Colon.
