July 17, 200620 yr This game is looking like it can bang with the big dog, the GTA series. The demo comes out on Marketplace on Aug 1. and places like toys r us already have the demo. I have not played the demo, but if you go to either gamespot or ign, people that got the demo are raving about it, and its not even the finished copy. Here are links to the preview of the game, it goes into detail about the custom creation, where you create your own character, and more. July 18, 200620 yr Customization is a big part of gaming and I want there to be more of it in all games. Whether it be getting specific rims/colors put on my Grand Theft Auto car that I'll have destroyed five minutes later, so on and so on. Why can't EA create an customizeable baseball game so we can download MLB stuff to it? It's within their capability and yet they don't/won't do it.
July 18, 200620 yr Author There is a feature in the game that allows you to revive cars you modded. You just have to go to the junk yard or someplace like that and pay a small fee. So we no longer have to keep our cars locked in a garage like in gta in fear that it will be destryoed.

It's within their capability and yet they don't/won't do it. wouldnt that be impossible because EA doesnt have a contract with MLB? Not really. Winning Eleven Soccer puts out a game with "fake" teams that all represent the real ones (all players are represented in the same manner; there are a couple of guys who are actually in the game and then there's all the guys who represent real guys). All you have to do is download the rosters, change the names of the teams (which are ALL the real teams official nicknames anyways) and BAM! Better gameplay than Fifa. It's possible to do this with baseball. EA just doesn't partially because, I'm, assuming, they think without the license it won't sell so getting a production team, etc, etc, etc, together to update the old game (which is all EA sports really does) is worthless to them. However, Konamai and Winning Eleven has shown that it's possible to put out that kind of game and be somewhat successful. All EA has to do is update their college game, call it "EA Sports Pro Baseball" and put on a 30 "fake" teams which somewhat resemble the real ones as well as the rosters of said teams representing real players in skill and look, but not in name. Then leave it up to the player to go in and either download the rosters/team names or do it himself. Customization can be a beautiful thing.
