The Descent

Featured Replies

I saw trailers for this movie over the weekend and it looked like another dumb 2006 horror movie but I did a google on it a day later and came up with some suprising stuff.

Apparently this was originally a UK release from 2005. It was a huge hit over there and has gotten glowing reviews.

7.4 on IMDB

92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics, 94% from users.

It goes to show you can't always go on a lame 30 second TV spot.

JoBlo.com (a favorite site of mine) said "I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this diamond in the rough…all I will say is see it, see it and SEE IT! THE DESCENT is the movie I’ve been waiting for all year…THANK YOU!"

Uhh, I wouldn't even mention 'Hostel' on the movie poster. That was just a disaster. But yeah, I'll check it out since it's getting good reviews.

I didn't think Hostel was that bad. It made me cring and consider turning it off a few times, which, I think, was the point.
