the game was awesome. asheville was being no-hit into the 6th inning. The park was really nice. The dimensions reminded me of the Polo Grounds. It was only 297 Feet done the right field line (so was the PG) , but it had a very high wall, similar to the Green Monster. It was a great place to watch a game. I got 4th row up from the first-base dugout. Tickets were $10 to sit there, but it was 2 for Tuesday so ,our tickets were basically $5 each. Large soda's were $2 (compared to DS $5-6). The merchandise store was nice I bought 3 game used bats for $6 a piece, can't beat that.

The players were right there, they seemed within arm's reach, and so did the field. The players were talking to the fans behind them (you sure don't see that in the majors). This little kid did some contest on the field and a few of the players came over to him and gave him high-fives (you sure don't see that in the majors either). The seats were great, incredible, and for $5 you can't beat it. (DS would cost probably $60 for those seats and you get the same quality of baseball there).

Asheville won 3-1 ,getting three runs in the bottom of the 8th. I only stayed till the 5th because my mom almost fainted, but we're going back tonight. I'm gonna order tickets online now, and see if I can get front row. I took some great pics, if i can shrink them, i'll put them up. :)

here are a few pic's.

Tourist players warming up before the game

Xavier Cedeno of the Asheville Tourists (rockie organization)

Jeremy Slayden of the Lakewood BlueClaws (Phillie organization)

Jason Van Kooten of the Tourists

Eric Young Jr. of the Tourists

Dexter Fowler of the Tourists (he's supposed to be the best player on the team)

Player for the BlueClaws, forgot his name, but he did hit a homerun

Historic McCormick Field, it's only 297 ft. down the right field line :o

Chris Nelson and I. I got to meet him after the game. He was an all-star this year and he hit a homer in the game. pretty cool.
