Anyone else notice that Loria has yet to sit by the dugout this entire home-stand, which is also the first homestand since he allegedly fired Girardi?

Loria not being there speaks volumes about the rift, at least to me.

It's obvious that I have a better chance of being Marlins manager next season than Girardi. I have only good things to say about the job Joe has done but he will need to chalk this up as a learning experience. We heard that he fought to keep JJ and Nolasco out of the rotation even though people in the organization with much more experience thought otherwise. He didn't have any respect for those who's job it is to evaluate talent. Then we heard that Joe made many comments about how things were done with the Yankees. This can easily come off as having no respect for the Marlins organization and thinking he was above everyone else....because George spends $200+MM to keep the team competitive...he thinks that makes him a winner.

Or in the alternative, while yes it speaks volumes about what may have transpired that Sunday, Loria's absence from his usual seat, may in fact have been a token gesture by him that he recognizes Joe's authority on the field and in the clubhouse, and that in the heat of the moment, things were said, that intelligent men may think, but don't say.

I doubt it's Loria pouting somewhere off in the corner, fuming, if anything it may be an attempt at rapprochement. But who's to say. None of us really know what went on or what is going on as we speak.

Tick...tick...tick. Time will tell.

2003, just for the sake of argument:

With the mantra being "nothing happened, nothing's wrong" wouldn't any great variation from the status quo speak volumes to the contrary?

most likely should be in the giardi thread right? Some mod should move it on over, even though I agree with swifty's comments.

I think Joe is gone but I hope we get something for him at least.
