September 3, 200619 yr The Marlins won this game because several of the players lived up to their potential, not because the manager was a miracle worker. Which is exactly why managers get too much credit for losses. and not enough for wins :whistle You realize your comment doesn't follow the reasoning of the previeous two statements, right?
September 3, 200619 yr But JoBo looking very hittable the last 3 or 4 games Yeah, hopefully he's able to work through it Seeing Resop coming into a sticky situation and getting the job done though was promising. Any kind of depth whatsoever we can add out there will be crucial. Jobo isnt going to amaze you with his unhittable stuff, he is just a very reliable location pitcher, not really an ideal closer, but he has been doing a good job this season. Olivo should never have called an inside fastball on that pitch though. Olivo not only has been bad at the plate, but he needs to start calling a smarter game. The whole game, pitchers were getting strikes called on low and outside balls. The pitch before the HR JoBo got one of those strikes called, and Jenkins was obviously pissed off about it. Olivo should have called for the same exact pitch maybe even a bit further outside. Maybe I am just being too nit-picky though ?
September 3, 200619 yr I just hope Tank slamming the door worked him out of Girardi's dog-house (lord knows why he's there in the first place). We desperately need Tank out there before the Resops of the world. Simply put, we got lucky tonight in the 8th inning.
