Prince Fielder to Tigers
Won't happen, I know, but Scott Boras reported [via MLB Network] that Prince would accept a 3 year deal. It really doesn't make sense for Boras to accept a three year deal. Why re-enter the market when Prince will only get older and possibly fatter? If he really wanted to re-enter the market he would accept a one year deal.

Orioles, Red Sox, Giants interested in Uggla
I just hope we can get the best possible deal for Uggla I really want the Marlins to compete next year. Maybe Uggla has an awesome spring training and his value goes up somewhat.

Marlins dumping big names?
All in all this is looking like a mini firesale.Because none of those guys Uggla, Cantu or Ross suck.Unlike Mike Jacobs or Scott Olsen. Gotta love how this word is only used when the Marlins make such moves. As Tommy Hutton said the other day, every team adds and drops players every offseason. Yet, when the Marlins do it, it's a firesale. Mind you, there's a possibility they keep 2 of those 3 players. Especially Cody Ross...all indications seem to be that he's staying. Oh please it's different when the Marlins do it. Yeah those teams add and drop players. We drop stars and try to replace them with prospects or cheap FA gambles.

Seriously?
I bet you thought this article was real too: Rare Centuple Play Ends Mets' Season August 27, 2009 | Issue 45•35 | Onion Sports MIAMI—In a sudden end to a trying year, the Mets' Jeff Francoeur lined into a rare centuple play against the Florida Marlins Wednesday, which by rule cut New York's season short. "I hit it on the screws, but it just happened to be in a spot where they could turn a hundred," said Francoeur, who watched helplessly as Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla tagged everyone in the Mets dugout before heading into the clubhouse and tagging both equipment manager Charlie Samuels and physical therapist John Zajac. "You take a risk by starting the runners but I didn't think he'd have enough time to run up to the executive suite and get [Mets GM] Omar [Minaya] and [team owner] Fred [Wilpon]. I guess by the 80th out we'd all just given up." This was the most outs recorded on a single play since the 2004 Montreal Expos were eradicated from the league after hitting into an ∞-play. :lol
