September 29, 200916 yr Notice lately when the team lose, their are very few posting in the game thread, fan in winning, fan in losing.
September 29, 200916 yr 21 consecutive scoreless innings and 2 straight game shutout-ed. That's not funny.

September 29, 200916 yr Horrible starting pitching we lose You expect the starting pitching to allow -1 runs so we can win?
September 29, 200916 yr Horrible starting pitching we lose There seems a common thread throughout a good part of the staff that hasn't improved markedly during the season - walking lead off guys, walking pitchers, the inability get ahead or throw first pitch strikes or playing a role in keeping baserunners from stealing at will. I'm not saying it happens all the time or exaggerate its frequency but it seems to me it's not necessarily a talent issue as it "may" be a coaching issue. Specifically Wiley (this isn't an anti-Wiley rant BTW) but I wonder if it goes deeper and is more pervasive in the organization? I don't know the answer but it will interesting to see if he's still has his job come spring.

(Now don't everyone read too much into this, it is just my opinion....thanks)
September 29, 200916 yr im pretty sure this is the first game where the post game wrap on the official site didnt have 1 highlight. pretty depressing last two games and i would really hate for the braves to win the card let slone finish second. hopefully we can take the next two.
September 29, 200916 yr It's been clear for a few days that their chances were between slim and none, so I watched this game with only one thing in mind. How many hits will Cogs get? 2 takes him to 42 for September, on top of 47 for August. Has ANY rookie ever led all of MLB in total hits 2 months running? I don't know, but doubt it. He may be 2 days away from doing it. The guy is incredible. Over a full season next year, he may give Hanley a run for his money.
September 29, 200916 yr I'm with Hammerhead. Coghlan is the story for the Marlins. He is going to be gamer for the team for years and years. I was disappointed for Annibal. I thought his first two pitches of the game were strikes ... but were called balls. I thought that put him off his game immediately and none of the first three Brave hitters even swung at a pitch after that.
