September 12, 200619 yr Some good stuff in this piece on James Baker's Iraq Study Group. I'd heard a little bit about it but not much. It's a left-leaning article (warning) but there's some interesting stuff here nonetheless. Baker is a politician first, but it will be worth following to see what they come up with. There's always been an interesting relationship between Bush 41 and Bush 43. This appears to be 41's gang (along with some pretty big bipartisan names in the group) trying to put together some alternatives to try & at least provide some steering for the administration's runaway train Iraq policy.
