October 7, 200322 yr I dont believe Sosa to be a big game performer - but we will see. I think Alou and Lofton are going to be the two we have to watch out for - and Sosa may sneak one in there somewhere. Karros is another solid vet, but he is still Karros, an older model. You got to like this matchup for us...strong pitching, shaky/inconsistent hitting. That could be either team's description...but we play small ball which gives us a big advantage.

October 7, 200322 yr Scammin Sammy is the K king. He disappears at every pressure situation. Kind of like our Sox in a playoff series (see 1983, 1993, 2000). He didn't do to well in the last series at the plate, but his defense was slightly stepped up. Usually, balls hit more than 10 feet away from him are safe. Hopefully he continues to choke at the plate, and trips in the outfield or something.

Hopefully he continues to choke at the plate, and trips in the outfield or something. he had an opportunity to tie in the 9th in game 4 and he choked. our team gets an opportunity like that and we more than usually perform (especially now in the playoffs). bring it on cubs, bring it on.
