November 20, 200619 yr Favre's OK, Rodgers Out For Season by Mike Spofford, Packers.com posted 11/20/2006 Head Coach Mike McCarthy relayed good news and bad news with regards to the Packers' quarterbacks on Monday. Brett Favre appears to be OK after suffering an elbow injury in the second quarter Sunday that sidelined him for the rest of the game. McCarthy said Favre was getting the strength back in his hand and wasn't concerned about the injury. He will be evaluated further on Wednesday. But unfortunately for backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers, his first extended action in 2006 turned out to be his last this season. Rodgers broke his foot during Sunday's game against New England and is out for the season. Rodgers came into Sunday's game late in the second quarter in relief of Favre and finished the contest. He completed four of 12 passes for 32 yards. He also rushed for 11 yards, was sacked three times and lost a fumble. McCarthy said he didn't know for sure but suspected Rodgers injured the foot on one of his scrambles and played the rest of the game with the injury. Rodgers was the Packers' first-round draft choice in 2005, and he played extensively in just one game last year. At Baltimore on Dec. 19, Rodgers completed eight of 15 passes for 65 yards with one interception. source

November 21, 200619 yr Packers sign QB Bouman November 21, 2006 MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Quarterback Todd Bouman signed Tuesday with the Green Bay Packers to replace injured quarterback Aaron Rodgers, according to his representatives. Steve Caric, vice president of marketing and public relations for Premier Management, confirmed the signing Tuesday. Premier Management is owned by Bouman's agent Gary Uberstine. ADVERTISEMENT Bouman, 34, has nine years of NFL experience, mostly with the Minnesota Vikings. Bouman spent the past three seasons in New Orleans, where Packers coach Mike McCarthy was the offensive coordinator in 2003 and 2004. Bouman started three games for the Saints last year, completing 68 of 122 passes for 722 yards with two touchdowns and seven interceptions. Rodgers will miss the rest of the season after breaking his foot during the Packers 35-0 loss to New England at Lambeau Field on Sunday. I don't think the coaching staff thought highly of Ingle Martin
