Whichever bowl it makes, LSU has sold out

Featured Replies

BATON ROUGE, La. ? (AP) ? Whatever bowl it's invited to, LSU has sold out.

It announced had to stop taking ticket requests after getting more than 40,000 for the Rose Bowl, 21,000 for the Orange Bowl and 17,500 for the Capital One Bowl, director of ticket operations Brian Broussard announced.

"We have exceeded our ticket allotment for any bowl game that we can play in,'' Broussard said on Friday morning.

Broussard said fans will start receiving e-mail notification regarding their ticket requests on Monday.

Season ticket holders who asked for bowl tickets before Nov. 20 will get the first notices, he said.

Once Sunday's BCS Bowl Show tells LSU which bowl it will go to and how many tickets it will get, fans who sent in requests this week will be notified by e-mail how many tickets they will get.

The team planned to gather in its squad room to watch the show.

Now that is what you call good fan following...DAMN....three bowl game allotments gone....

They mean business in SEC country.

It's the same with baseball, I know the people of Omaha love it when LSU makes the CWS, because they always bring a huge following.
