Correct me if I'm wrong, but last I heard about Hill he was still unsure about coming back next year. I know he was dealing with family issues, though I'm not sure what they were. Did I miss something, or is his status still yet to be decided?

YES! I was also worried about this, good to have him, he'll make this infield defense the real deal.

He won't be coaching for any other team but the Marlins as he's under contract and won't be allowed to negotiate with other teams (I'm pretty sure the Red Sox asked permission but were denied), but as far as I know, he's still unsure, but I'd say is more likely to return than not.

I don't remember exactly where I read it but I remember being surprised that he signed with us and also very relieved. Surprised because of his family's medical problems and relieved because he has got to be the best IF coach in MLB, which is exactly what this team needs. You are right Swift, someone did ask permission to talk with him and I do believe it was the BoSox. Naturally they were told hands off.
