Karina was the lucky member # 666 lol i have been waiting for someone to get that...

i'm cursed oh well.... big deal. i rather have been 69 or 606 or something LOL... what a guy thing to say... good night boys.... Sammy Sosa sucks...

I'm sorry, but that's crap. Prior had some good s*** going tonight, and the way he handled himself with people in scoring position was great.

Honestly, he's got something the marlins pitchers can really use: control. They've all got great arms, but they lose control too easily in tight situations.

On Penny's side though, I don't blame him for the loss. He had three days rest, and he was out just last month with elbow problems from being overworked. He threw too many balls, and then when he was behind in the count left too many balls hanging over the plate.

Don't worry guys, Redman pitches on Friday. f*** Kerry Wood. I take Redman any day. Mark my words.

Marlins Fan since 1993 (with no loyalty "gaps" between 97-03 like the rest of the bandwagon jumpers)

Redman made the Cubs look like minor leaguers when he faced them at Pro Player on Jul 18. But that was before the Pittsburgh connection (Lofton, Ramirez, Simon). Wood shelved the Marlin offense twice, gave up 1 run in 18 innings (2 CG). Even when Prior isn't throwing his best, he only allows 2 ER in 7.

FL has to beat Wood or Prior at least once. Zambrano and Clement probably don't have what it takes to turn off JP and Pudge. And 9er is an iceman no matter who pitches, he just needs some support. Florida's pitchers need some help if they are to win, 20 runs allowed in the first two games, OUCH!!

The Marlin's leading RBI man is relegated to pinch hitting duties, leaving Encar and Lee to pick up the slack, which they do when they don't strike out. JP (by far the scariest man on the club) needs people to knock him in after his singles (and steals). Can they do it with only one power threat in the lineup (Lee)? The marlins rode Pudge's back so far this postseason (his bat and his skills as a catcher) can they continue to do just that?

The Marlins are middle of the pack on hitting and pitching, they made it this far on heart, fate and intangibles. Can their remarkable luck continue through the postseason? My money is on the Cubs in 6 because Beckett can't pitch every night and can you really trust the sometimes-shows-up Willis?

Just one man's observations.

Penny had three days rest

sorry, Prior didnt have it tonight

and Penny was on 3 days rest.... kind of....he barely pitched in game 4(i think thats when it was)

Why is it whenever Penny has a bad game, all of a sudden you guys can read his mind and make stupid comments like he didnt care? I saw a look of disappointment and frustration on his face. A pitcher only has so many pitches and if one or two of them arent working, you cant do anything about it. I talk to him everyday and no one wanted to win worse than he did. He knows he let the team and the fans down and he feels really bad. Not to mention he left himself down. When I talked to him after the game, he was really down.

Somenone mentioned that they shouldnt pitch Beckett and Penny back to back, to similar with the fastball etc. Time one the first night and the opponent is ready the next night. I agree and have wondered why they continue to do this.

Well, last series Penny pitched in relief on his throw day so it's not really an excuse, but it doesn't matter cuz he picked the perfect day to drop an egg.

We would've lost against any of their starters, so it's great that it was Prior who we lost to.
