Legislation wants to pass a law to require eBay sellers and buyers to get taxed. This is not good for anybody, since eBay is the cheapest way to get just about anything. It is like buying in a world wide flea market. It should stay that way. Why does the government always screw good things up like this? They need to focus on other things more.

Hw could you possibly blame a new tax on a republican?

not sure exactly where this tax idea originated, but it is not a new idea.

for a long while now various legislatures have been discussing implementation of a tax on online purchases.

The way the law is set up now, you are only taxed if the company you buy your goods from has a bricks and mortar store in the state you reside, else you are exempt from sales taxes.

Its all about lost revenues and an attempt to regain those revenues.
