October 12, 200322 yr Coming into the NFL, I said he would be the best QB from the 2003 draft. He's looking real good against Miami. Just a thought.
October 12, 200322 yr He's definitely looked good so far. I think we're about 6 weeks away from Carson Palmer getting the ball in Cincy and then the comparisons will begin. I personally think they're both going to be good, no Manning-Leaf thing here.

I like how they are sitting him out. Kitna had his problems but things are working well even tho the record says 1-4. They just need to learn how to finish the games out. :banghead
October 12, 200322 yr Author I don't see too good of a future for either Palmer or Boller. But there's something about Leftwich.

But there's no guarantee we're out of it. We could easily be 3-2 right now and our schedule is getting easier, 4 out of 5 at home, we're going 3-2 in this stretch, at least...and in the AFC North, 4-6 won't be out of it at all.

I (for some reason) got the Dolphins-Jags game on CBS here in New York, and despite the loss, I was very happy with the way the Jags played (you won't here me be complimentary to my fav. teams after a loss....usually EVER). I'm a Brunell backer all the way, but Leftwich showed me something today. 3 ints. isn't indicative of how he played. He just looks like a leader out there. He did well despite the lack of run game we had. Jimmy Smith....another decent game. He's got my vote for the Hall of Fame. I think I was most impressed with the defense, and the front four. Good job stuffing Williams for the most part. And the DB's....I expected them to get toasted, but Fiedler often had no place to throw. I was pissed the first replay didn't get overturned.

If we are out of it I would give Palmer the go ahead in the Last game of the season vs the Browns. The only game we looked like we knew nothing was the first game vs the Broncos. We have been in the games the last few we played. Things will get better if not this year then next year .
