October 13, 200322 yr This article appeared in today's Chicago Sun-Times, or "Cub-Times" as we call it. This article in no way reflects the sentiments of rank-and-file White Sox fans. The Chicago media has had it in for us and the White Sox for all eternity, and this shoddy article is an attempt on their part to present a false portrait of White Sox fans jumping on the Cubs' bandwagon. As you know, so many of us White Sox fans have hopped on the Marlins' bandwagon that it is in danger of sinking merely due to all the weight. The bandwagon is docked in Port Everglades and could very well sink to the bottom of the Intercoastal Waterway with the weight of all of us on it. You now know why we White Sox fans are so distrustful of the Cubbie-loving media. :banghead
October 13, 200322 yr I hope that the new Sox tv channel they are consdering happens so you guys get some positive media that your team owns. How is ESPN 1000 - WMVP for sox coverage?
October 13, 200322 yr Author How is ESPN 1000 - WMVP for sox coverage? For Sox coverage, they are great during the season. But they have immersed themselves in FlubbieMania like every other media outlet. They are airing the ESPN Radio feeds of the Cubs playoff games and doing local postgame shows. No, they are not being "Radio Free White Sox" during this Cubs playoff run.
October 13, 200322 yr WQAM sucks for Marlins coverage unless it is one of the five Marlins broadcasters who is on the air for them. I want the Marlins to move onto the Clear Channel duo of WIOD/WRFX as soon as possible. (I wonder if the Marlins have an escape clause for 2004? :mischief2 )
October 13, 200322 yr http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Here's actually a great article from Cubune columnist John Kass, a lifelong Sox fan. It's the opposite of the story above ? a report from a true White Sox bar, complete with Sox fans "cheering for a Marlins base hit like Notre Dame just scored a touchdown." Great stuff.
