April 1, 200718 yr There are a number sites that offer low-priced hosting for small-scale websites. Turtle hosting gives you 100mb of space and 1 gig of transfer for $1/mo. Webhostinger gives you 1gb of space and 25 gigs of bandwidth for $2/mo. There are a bunch of other hosts out there that offer hosting for low usage websites. You just have to look around and weed out the duds. You can get the domain from anywhere, as the prices are pretty comparable nowadays. If you want private registration, though, you're better off going with anyone but godaddy. They'll charge you an extra $9/yr to renew privacy, in addition to the cost of renewing the actual domain.
