How the Mighty Have Fallen...

Featured Replies

I never would have guessed that the Cards would be doing this poorly after winning a World Series just a few months ago. However, these factors have all contributed:

-Scott Rolen batting .209

-Chris Carpenter out

-Braden Looper leading the team in wins???

-Jim Edmonds batting .229

-Lost Jason Marquis and Jeff Suppan, the only other double-digit winners from 2006, to free agency

I dont know why. They werent good last year either.

Just played in the worst division in baseball, and Jeff Weaver pitched better than he reasonably should of been able to. Detroit forgot basic fundamentals(and they destroyed St. Louis during interleague play last year). The Mets pitching staff was nonexistant.

The Cardinals caught the perfect storm. They had a great april and an OK may and after that were a bad team, period. And they didnt improve themselves at all over the offseason.

I bet tiger pitchers took extra fielding practice in ST. Justin and Joel looked ridiculous in the WS.
