I have a question to all XM subscribers. I just picked mine up on Saturday so I was able to listen to the game Saturday Night and the channel the game was on in English was the Brewers Radio Network. Now tonight becuase I am unable to get to a TV and listening again on XM. The only broadcast is Ch. 184 which is the Braves Radio Network. When we are home, will it be the Marlins Network? Just curious as to how XM decides which broadcast to use.

XM uses the home broadcast. So every Marlins game from Dolphin Stadium will be on XM.

Sometimes they use WQBA's feed for the Spanish channel even if the Fish are on the road.

But on the English side, they would only use a road feed if there was a technical issue with the home feed.

Thanks for the info Cape.

BTW, we are now 2-0 on games I have listened to on the new radio. I will be using it again tomorrow.

Please do! :thumbup

I've been listening a lot lately on my XM Radio... I like getting the perspective from the opposing teams sometimes. OMG the Brewers Announcer is so terrible and boring, Cubs are bad too IMO. I like the Brave?s announcers last night they seem to give the Marlins a lot of Props and were quick to the plays. I want to do a review on other cities team announcers like a rating through 1-10

Believe it or not I liked listening to the Phillies radio guys. They were really funny.

Don't hate on Bob Uecker :shifty

Skip Carray is pretty good. :thumbup

Some of my favorites are KOMO 1000/Mariners (Niehaus rules, although the traffic updates every 15 minutes during the games seems kinda odd), WFAN/Mets (Mets jingle is classic), WHFS/Orioles (Joe Angel!), and KNBR 680/Giants (can be pretty good except when John Miller is solo)

Some of the worst are XPRS/Padres (Leitner 24/7 is too much, bring back some Coleman!), KTRS/Cardinals (Shannon and Rooney drive me up the wall), WCBS/Yankees (aka the John Sterling Radio Network), and KTRH/Astros (No more Milo please! Spare us Hamilton!)....I usually avoid these feeds at any cost.

Of course the WQAM/Marlins crew is one of the best all-around. DVH and Roxy mesh well, along with Jesse in the studio giving updates, the production staff, and the engineers who get the job done. WQAM rarely has technical issues, even when a storm is hitting Miami and the Fish are on the road. You may not have power or a roof, but you have Marlins on the radio.

Skip knows the game, but for whatever reason every once in a while his voice is like nails on chalkboard to me.

Joe Buck is another good one but his Cardinals homerism on a national stage gets to me sometimes(I am not talking about when he does the FSN Midwest broadcasts...its fine there, but when he is doing the Fox nationwide broadcast is where I think it is bush league).

Skip Caray = Marvin The Martian
