June 19, 200719 yr I just picked it up a lil while ago. So far, so good. Play the opening track as loud as possible, feel like your getting punched in the face. Jack White proves his genius again.
June 19, 200719 yr I've been listening to the title track for about a month, I'll be picking up the whole thing later today.
June 19, 200719 yr I'm picking it up right after I get out of work. I've heard the whole album on MTV.com's Leak and it's amazing. Can't wait to pick up a real copy though and listen to it on the ride home. There's nothing quite like the feeling of picking up a new CD from the store, reading through the liner notes, and hearing it for the first time. Is there any major band out there right now making better music than the White Stripes?
June 19, 200719 yr Is there any major band out there right now making better music than the White Stripes? Just about all of them. I can't stand the White Stripes, their music drives me crazy. Their last single gave me a headache.

Agreed, downloading music online will never carry that same anticipation & excitement for me. I suppose they'll probably disappear eventually & everything will be online, but I hope not.

Jack White is so ridiculously talented, it's not even funny. "You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As Your Told)" is great. "Conquest" took a few listen to sink in, but driving around with it blasting has definitely made me love it.
June 19, 200719 yr CD is great, probably cracks my top 5 of the year so far. Only two complete listens so far but I think Prickly Thorn, But Sweetly Worn is the best song on there besides Icky Thump. Little Cream Soda is awesome too and even though I heard it before this came out, Rag and Bone has to be one of the most fun songs I've heard in a while. It trips me out. Stripes are probably in my top handful of bands but there are bands putting out better music right now. The thing that makes the Stripes so awesome is their consistency.
