June 22, 200719 yr some interesting thoughts on the kid... Brett Carroll, OF, FLA ? Carroll, a 24-year-old outfielder in the Eric Byrnes mold, deserves an extended look in center field for the Fish. According to Baseball America, Carroll's throwing arm is "becoming the stuff of legend." He hit a solid .302/.341/.548 in Triple A and could play regularly. Worth a bench spot in NL-only. from a fantasy perspective, but still....cool to know he's got an arm "of legend" and having a potential Eric Byrnes around is cool
June 23, 200719 yr Alfredo Amezaga is the David Eckstein of the Florida Marlins. He's gritty, and he sucks. Yay! Though he has been quite good in the leadoff role. I wouldn't mind him and Carroll splitting time there.
June 23, 200719 yr He can play good D and he can run. Yet we still see Amezaga out there. It really is ridiculous. Carroll should be out there until we sign someone else.
