October 16, 200322 yr It pi$$es me off. The Cubs PLAYERS should come out and support this guy Bartman - on TV, with pictures and a press conference. They need to stand by this guy who had NOTHING to do with the Cubs losing this series. The Cubs didnt have to implode from that point on. They believed they were cursed. The Cubs lost this - not Bartman. And they let Bartman down as well as his Cub brethren who want to kill Bartman. This guy's life is turned upside down, they need to fix it. Oh, and the Marlins still dont get credit for beating the Cubs...

Florida ( State ) and the Marlins are giving that guy alot , FL Gov is giving him 3 months of free hotel in Pomp Beach and Marlins giving him season tickets for free

I think the reason why the Cubs havent come out and said to stop blaming him is that they probably think he is somewhat to blame. Having that happen and having a supposed curse helps them avoid the responsibility that they were the ones who choked.
