July 3, 200719 yr andino's glove would be a huge benefit for us I don't know about that. He leads all Triple A in errors. ouch. I'll take Carroll What's been written though is Andino's sin is playing too hard, going after balls no other shortstop would attempt a play on. If so it is problem that can addressed. Understanding his personal limitations may be the final hurdle for Andino to get over on his way to being a full-time major leaguer. I'll take a guy who tries to make a play on a ball that otherwise is a base hit to a guy who allows outs to become base hits because of lack of hustle or poor reflexes. You don't make it the major leagues by under-achieving. Personally I hope Ramirez is okay but with the trade deadline fast approaching showcasing Andino (especially while he's hot) potentially has the added benefit supercharging his value at just the right time. Carroll, Linden, Borchard, Abercrombie have as of this writing zero trade value in the next thrity days. Not so Andino. Hanley taking a few days off "could" be a blessing in disguise.

Andino's thing of making a play when there isn't one, is similar to what Uggla did last year..and Perry Hill worked that problem out of him.
